Earlier this year, I gave a few hints about CSEA's new award, the Canadian Art Educator of the Year Award. We are very excited to introduce this new award at this time. The CSEA has not previously in its history presented a single National award.

The Canadian Art Educator of the Year Award is made possible partly through a partnership with Sax Canada, whose art supplies and materials can be found in the SchoolSpecialty catalogue. We are grateful for their sponsorship. 

This new award will be presented to the first recipient at the fall CSEA Conference, held in Winnipeg, Manitoba in partnership with the Manitoba Association of Art Education, November 23 - 25, 2006.

Attached are the details about this award, and the nomination requirements and form. I encourage you to consider nominating a deserving art educator by July 31, 2006.
