Awards

The Canadian Society for Education through Art (CSEA/SCÉA) aims to promote excellence in art education. One action toward that aim is to present awards to deserving art educators. We now present two types of awards: (i) Canadian Art Educator of the Year Award, and, (ii) Provincial Art Educator Awards. An art educator from each Canadian province can be presented with a CSEA/SCÉA Provincial Art Educator Award acknowledging excellence in art teaching and research. Typically, the selection of an award nominee is conducted by a provincial art teachers’ association. However, if a provincial association is not in a position to complete the selection process, a nomination can be submitted directly to the CSEA/SCÉA Executive.
