Read about the official Canadian response to UNESCO's questionnaire on arts education, funded by CMEC and prepared by Judith Tobin.
Dear Colleagues, Many of you will be interested in reading the official Canadian response to UNESCO's questionnaire on arts education. My warmest congratulations to Judith Tobin who prepared the report and to the Council of Ministers of Education (CMEC) for commissioning it. The report was structured to answer UNESCO's questions in the context of Canada's federal system. At 98 pages in English and 114 pages in French, it offers a marvellous mosaic of arts education achievements in Canada and a thoughtful reflection of the challenges we are collectively facing. It has been submitted to UNESCO for posting to its arts education website. The report can be found on the website of the Canadian Commission for UNESCO in both English and French. http://www.unesco.ca/en/ (A link to the report can be found on the upper right side of the Commissions's web page under "Related Publications".) It will also soon be posted on www.cmec.ca, the web site of the Council of Ministers of Education. |
